“a rich array of styles by choreographer Stephen Hues...  from belly-dance to hip-hop,  pole fighting to attack gymnastics, this ‘Ramayana’ had abundant movement resources in its arsenal.”    Lewis Segal, Los Angeles Times

"Tumbling, rope-swinging and a climatic battle that has some actors on stilts are impressively choreographed by  Stephen Hues.”           Neil Genzlinger, New York Times

In the Studio or on Set, I try to create a safe & sacred environment to work & explore in. I am open to all possibilities and believe in the Big Picture. I especially work well in collaboration with other creative thinkers and enjoy problem solving. I am goal oriented and                 embrace challenges with patience and creative solutions.

I am an artist exploring my creative voice through human movement and drama. I like extremes, my choreography is both high-octane crowd roaring steps that seem larger than life and poetic spiritual moves that are inspiring. I have a broad background in various Movement-Arts including Modern Contemporary Dance, Ballet, Martial Arts, Mudras, Vogue and Club Dancing. I enjoy using movement and choreography; blocking and stage pictures to carry the narrative along in a drama. I am an alternative thinker and enjoy problem solving in the creative process. I have choreographed large groups of performers with mixed backgrounds. When not choreographing I am designing clothes for Stephen Hues Designs, visit my website at www.stephenhuesdesigns.com
