The Burning Opera, ‘Burn it Up!’ at LA Decom 2011.

Stephen recently Co-Directed the ‘Burning Opera’ with Mark Nichols and Julie Lewis, A Shadow-Play Rock Concert, Composed by Mark Nichols, Lyrics by Erik Davis, Design by Daphne Vega and Yoni Koenig; at Syrup Loft in downtown Los Angeles.

‘Odyssey, a Twelve month Revolution’, Composed by Jeremy Weinglass, Directed by Stephen Hues, Choreographed by Michelle LaVon; this was a fund raiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters LA, performed at the El Portal Theatre, North Hollywood, 2011.

RAMAYANA 2K3: Nominated for 5 New York City Drama Desk Awards including ‘Outstanding Choreography’.

From 2007 to 2010 Stephen was an Ensemble Member and the Dance Captain for LA Opera’s production of Wagner’s 17 hours epic ‘Ring of the Nibelung’, Directed by the acclaimed Berlin Artist, Achim Freyer and conducted by James Conlon. In the summer of 2010 the 4 part ‘Ring Cycle’ performances at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion were at the center of the Los Angeles City wide ‘Ring Arts Festival’.
